Our Turn to Shine
On July 2, 2003, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) selected Vancouver to host the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Kelowna and the Central Okanagan are very excited about bringing the Olympics to Canada and to realizing the economic benefits for our region.

The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) was incorporated on September 30, 2003, to support and promote the development of sport in Canada by planning, organizing, financing and staging the XXI Olympic Winter Games and X Paralympic Winter Games in 2010.  For more information, visit the Vancouver 2010 Website

The 2010 Legacies Now is an initiative of the Province of British Columbia, with the mandate to develop and support community partners and organizations around the Province to ensure that every region of BC benefits from the legacies of 2010.  2010 Legacies Now will be contributing to lasting legacies in sport and recreations, the arts, literacy, and volunteerism.  For more information, visit the 2010 Legacies Now website.

The Province of British Columbia has launched the 2010 Commerce Centre to provide information to businesses interested in other opportunities arising from the Games.  This site was created to help businesses of all sizes and descriptions from all over British Columbia take advantage of the 2010 Games and this spectacular opportunity to show us, and the world, what you and your business have to offer.  For more information, visit the 2010 Commerce Centre website
